Leap 250cc 1958
The first trial productions of this Chinese taxicab took place in 1958.
The microcar appears to be of questionable quality. In particular, steering and suspension systems caused serious problems.
Learned from the catastrophic Leap, a new model – the Haiyan – was introduced (see previous pic)
In 1958-1959 a total of 90 Leaps and Haiyans were built.
